🍛 Millet Flakes Veg Pulao

Ingredients
- Millet Flakes (any): 1 cup (100 g approx)
- Oil: 2 tsp
- Whole Spices: Bay leaf, cinnamon, clove, cardamom (1 each)
- Onion: 1 (sliced)
- Green Chilli: 4
- Ginger Garlic Paste: ½ tsp
- Tomato: 1
- Mixed Vegetables: Carrot, potato, peas, beans, capsicum
- Turmeric Powder: 1 tsp
- Coriander & Mint Leaves: For garnish
- Salt: As required
Water Ratio for Flakes
- Thinai, Samai, Varagu, Kuthiraivalli (Small flakes) → 1 cup flakes : ¾ cup water
- Kambu, Red Cholam & Traditional Rice (Large flakes) → 1 cup flakes : 1¼ cup water
Preparation Method
- Add hot water to 1 cup of flakes and soak for 5 minutes (small flakes) or 10 minutes (large flakes).
- Heat oil in a pan and sauté bay leaf, cinnamon, clove, and cardamom.
- Add sliced onions, green chilli, and ginger garlic paste. Sauté until golden brown.
- Add tomato and cook until soft. Then add mixed vegetables and salt. Cook until half done.
- Add soaked flakes and turmeric powder. Mix gently and sauté for 1 minute.
- Garnish with coriander and mint leaves. Serve hot.
