Ingredients

  • Millet Flakes (any): 100 g
  • Rice Flour: 2 tbsp
  • Oil: 2 tsp
  • Onion: 1 (finely chopped)
  • Green Chilli: 2 (chopped)
  • Carrot: 1 (grated)
  • Curry Leaves & Coriander Leaves: As required
  • Salt: As required

Water Ratio for Flakes

  • Thinai, Samai, Varagu, Kuthiraivalli (Small flakes) → 1 cup flakes : ¾ cup water
  • Kambu, Red Cholam & Traditional Rice (Large flakes) → 1 cup flakes : 1¼ cup water

Preparation Method

  1. Soak 100 g of millet flakes in hot water for 5 minutes and mash well.
  2. Add rice flour, chopped onion, green chilli, grated carrot, curry leaves, coriander leaves, and salt.
  3. Mix everything into a thick batter consistency.
  4. Heat a dosa tawa, spread the batter into medium-sized adai.
  5. Cover with a lid and cook for 2 minutes on each side until golden brown.
