Ingredients

  • Thinai (Foxtail Millet): ½ cup (50 g approx)
  • Pasiparuppu (Moong Dal): ¼ cup
  • Country Sugar: ¾ cup
  • Milk: 2 cups
  • Water: 4 cups
  • Cardamom: 4
  • Cashew & Raisins: Few

Preparation Method

  1. Lightly roast thinai and moong dal.
  2. Add 4 cups of water and a pinch of salt. Pressure cook for 4 whistles.
  3. Add milk and boil for 5 minutes.
  4. Add country sugar and cardamom. Mix well.
  5. Boil for another 5 minutes until it thickens.
  6. Finally, add fried cashews and raisins.
