Traditional & Flavorful Millet Meal

Ingredients

  • Millet (any): 1 cup (200 g approx)
  • Toor Dal: ½ cup
  • Oil: 2 tsp
  • Mustard, Jeera & Dals: ½ tsp
  • Small Onion: 15
  • Green Chilli: 4
  • Garlic: 4 cloves
  • Tomato: 1
  • Sambar Powder: 1 tsp
  • Turmeric Powder: ½ tsp

Preparation Method

  1. Soak millet and toor dal for 30 minutes.
  2. In a pressure cooker, heat oil and add mustard seeds, jeera, and dals.
  3. Sauté small onions, green chilli, tomato, garlic, and curry leaves.
  4. Add sambar powder, turmeric powder, and salt. Mix well.
  5. Pour 2½ cups of water and pressure cook for 3 whistles on medium flame.
